Fear: Bully and a Liar!
Are you going to continue to give authority to fear to serve as the pilot of your life, forcing you to go or remain only in the spaces and places where it feels comfortable? Are you REALLY okay with allowing fear to bully you and convince you that you are less than who you know you are destined to be?

Whenever we embark on a new project, activity, tasks and even relationship a significant amount of effort is required in the beginning. There may be areas where we need to gain more knowledge or tools or the new journey may require us to break old habits (i.e. thinking, behavior, etc.) that do not align with our new direction. It is easy to become frustrated with this process especially if the results|outcome are not happening as fast as we desire.
Body transformations: (fitness/nutrition) it is imperative to be patient with yourself and instead of focusing on the end results (size, weight, inches lost, muscle gained, etc.) and/or comparing your body to trainers (whose profession is to work on their bodies) focus on the mini victories, each day you complete your exercises and adhere to your nutrition plan. The fact that you made a commitment to change your lifestyle and took steps to make these changes is a huge accomplishment in itself. This path is one of sustainable change, it is not a quick fix, and therefore the change is not going to happen overnight or in a week. Be gentle and patient with self.
Entrepreneurs|New ventures: Instead of using someone else’s ruler to measure your progress, set daily/weekly goals and complete those. Entrepreneurship is not easy, if it were everyone would go this route. Challenges will inevitably be a part of the process because you are learning and implementing simultaneously. If you need tools, obtain them. If you need a mentor, find one. If you need to take a break to scream, yell and/or cry due to frustration; do so…let it out and then return back to your passion, your life purpose which is to bring ‘this’ into fruition. The fact that you had the idea in the first place is all the assurance you need to know you are indeed on the right path.
Relationships: New relationships require an investment in the form of time and energy to get to know each other. More than likely this is not your first relationship in life and therefore you both have relationship experience and hopefully have gained tools from previous spaces to implement in your current space. You cannot ‘fast track’ love, it must happen organically. Focus on nurturing the friendship and developing various styles that are applicable to this space (communication, conflict resolution, sacred time, etc.).
Consistency is the key to success. You must fully show up and commit to whatever you have identified as your goal. Wishing, praying, meditating on it alone will not manifest your desires, you must invest and take action. Once achieved, the maintenance is much easier because it is now your new ‘norm.’ Of course there may be times when you will need to adjust for unexpected circumstances/events, but those times will not be as challenging as when you first began. Don’t give up. Stay focused. Be gentle with self. Build self up. Create a support system. Celebrate small victories. © - Misha N. Granado
